Fawn is an accomplished singer/songwriter
and pianist. Her song Oneday has raised much needed awareness and over
$5,000,000.00 for children and families affected by HIV/AIDS.
Fawn has worked with such musical talents as Meredith Brooks, Ed Townsend,
BT, QD 3, Jon Ernst (VH1/ MTV),
Raul Alberto, Lalah Hathaway and shared the stage with Paula
Cole, Thelma Houston, Chaka Khan, David Pomeranz and Brenda Epperson.
As a recording artist who desires to make this world a more loving place, Fawn has lent her talents and songs to raise money not only for various HIV/AIDS charities, but for the Special Olympics, Penny Lane, Actors and Others For Animals, The Miracle Network, and countless others. In conjunction with this, she has worked with an array of celebrities, including Pamela Anderson, Joan Rivers, Kevin Costner, Magic Johnson, Jermaine Dupri, Rae Dawn Chong, Hulk Hogan, Catherine Oxenberg, Lou Rawls, Florence Henderson, Helen Shaver, James Callahan, Erik Estrada, Thyme Lewis, Rhonda Shear, John Amos, David Marshall Grant and Alexandra Paul appearing with them in film, TV and benefits for several worthy charities.
Fawn began
her performing career at the age of six months, starring in three national
TV commercials. By age 10, she was playing piano, writing and singing
jingles and had become a member of the world renowned Children's Chorale
directed by Duane Wolfe.
By age 14, Jean Berger' hand picked her to tour Europe in his 12 piece
vocal chorale. Simultaneously, she formed her own Jazz Vocal Quartet,
performing at the Greeley Jazz Festival and Elevox Jazz Competition,
where she won 5 jazz vocal awards for her solo performances. At age
17 she toured Japan, Hong Kong and China playing the leading female
role in "Oklahoma!"
Subsequently she attended
Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she won top songwriting awards
from Berklee and SESAC two years in a row and gave unprecedented sold-out
performances for her concerts at the BPC in Boston. In New York she
also studied opera, performing in ‘The Marriage Of Figaro’
and ‘Don Giovanni.’
Shortly after, under the
sole authorization of Dang Xiaoping, Fawn was chosen to be the first
female singer/songwriter to tour and perform her own concerts and television
specials throughout inland and mainland China. Her concert tour was
appropriately named ‘The Songbird China Tour’ and was written
up in Billboard magazine.
She moved to Los Angeles,
where she was asked to write, sing and record her song, Oneday for the
Oneday Foundation in the mid-west. To support the cause, she donated
all funds raised by her song to help HIV/AIDS projects and charities.
Fawn
has sung for the L.A. Master Chorale's famed conductor, Paul Salamunovich
and has scored the music for the organization ‘Silent Witness,’
which helps battered women and is hosted by the Junior League of Northern
Westchester New York and Susan Sarandon. Fawn's music for ‘Silent
Witness’ was heard in Grand Central Station for several months,
promoting the Silent Witness cause. For three years in a row, she modeled
for the ‘Old Hollywood Glamour’ calendars and recently appeared
in a ‘Plush Cats’ calendar, while touring
with famed Mexican soap opera star, Raul Alberto. While with Raul, Fawn performed her own
original songs in English and sang back-ups in Spanish. She has sung in several
languages, including Spanish, German, Latin, Italian, French, Slovak
and Chinese. Her piano compositions were recently heard in the short
film, ‘Channeling Alfonse’ and her music is featured on varuios
TV shows, including the Lifetime show, Missing, starring Vivica A. Fox.
Fawn owns and operates her own state of the art digital recording studio.
Her voice, songs and jingles are heard on several TV commercials and
radio spots, including Lavazza, Barbie, Ford and Mazda. She has 26 commercials
airing in Italy alone and several others airing throughout Europe. In
her spare time she enjoys mentoring people of all ages, helping them become
acquainted with music and prolific in piano, voice, songwriting, and recording.
She believes that a gift is as important as what you do with it. She also combines music and animal rescue therapy for children and elderly people who are bed ridden. Her belief is that there is
“no such thing as a ‘problem’ person or child, only a problem in understanding…there is no distinction or
difference in the heart of humanity, we are al equally significant and the more candles you light in the world, the brighter it becomes.”
Recently, Fawn teamed up with recording
artist, Vincent Covello (BT Loving You More fame), forming the group,
Body, Soul and Mind, which completed its
debut album of the same title on Stonedef Records. Songs from the album have been featured on a variety of music
compilations over the past year, prompting Body, Soul and Mind to release another album
entitled Soulscape Vol. I in conjunction with celebrity chef Roman Hadrbolec’s new cook
book. Body, Soul and Mind recently traveled to Prague to perform at the Book/CD release party and pen a deal in the Czech and Slovak Republic. They are currently writing and recording new songs for a worldwide distribution deal to be announced in the coming months.
